Beacon Films BFI Film Academy 2018 is OPEN for applications!
Would you like to create a short script, use cameras, record sound, act, film on location, edit and make a music soundtrack in a recording studio? Well, on our BFI Film Academy you can!
And guess what - you don't need any experience in filmmaking to do it, just lots of enthusiasm!
We currently have 12 places available for young people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs, who are aged between 16 - 19 on 1st December 2018 - AND - we're now open for applications!
If you would like to APPLY for one of these places, please attend a Taster & Application Workshop on Sun 11th November in Newcastle. These workshops are FREE and last 2hrs and there are two options to choose from; 10am - 12.15pm or 1.00pm - 3.15pm

BURSARIES are available to cover travel and attendance costs, please contact us to discuss further.
After the Taster and Application workshops, 12 young people will be offered a place on our BFI Film Academy 2018. If offered a place, there is a one-off £25 administration fee. After that all workshops are FREE to attend and take place in Newcastle. The administration fee can be waived for those unable to pay.
